A viral recipe from content creator Laura (@cakeontherun) shows how to make a mini loaf of bread with just two ingredients — self-raising flour and yoghurt — in an air fryer in five minutes. The recipe requires no kneading or proving time, making it ideal for baking novices.
Simple Ingredients and Method
The recipe calls for six tablespoons of self-raising flour and four tablespoons of yoghurt. To make it gluten-free, use gluten-free self-raising flour and add a third of a teaspoon of xanthan gum, as Laura advised. Combine the flour and yoghurt in a bowl to form a dough, then flour your hands, shape the dough into a ball, knead it briefly, and mould it into a loaf or wide sausage shape. It should not be too sticky.
Air Fryer or Oven Baking
Air-fry the bread at 200°C for five minutes. Laura noted that air fryers can vary, so if the loaf is still doughy, bake for a few more minutes. If using an oven, bake for 12 to 15 minutes. The bread is best eaten straight away.
One follower commented: "I have to try it." Another wrote: "Thanks, so simple! Could you recommend cooking it in the microwave, in order to save fuel costs? Cheers."
