Spotify has crashed for thousands of listeners globally, affecting both the app and desktop versions. Users have reported being unable to search for new songs, with some seeing a ‘Couldn’t load the page, try again message’.
Outage reports and user complaints
According to DownDetector, there were 4,060 users complaining about issues with the Swedish streaming giant. Spotify acknowledged the problem on X, posting: ‘We’re aware of some issues right now and are checking them out!’
Users were quick to express frustration, saying they had tried to log out and then back in to no avail. One user said: ‘Too bad I deleted and reloaded the app thinking it was me. Now I can’t log in or play the music I had downloaded.’
Impact and recovery attempts
Others complained: ‘Restarted my phone, deleted the app, reloaded…still nothing…been a couple of hours now. I hope my account is not ruined.’ Some people have said they finally got back into the app through the desktop.
