Shark SilkiPro straightens wavy frizzy hair in half the time, say shoppers
Shark SilkiPro cuts styling time in half for frizzy hair

The Shark SilkiPro Hair Straightener & Dryer Rose Petal, priced at £199.99 down from £249.99 on Shark Ninja, combines a hair dryer and straightener into one device. Designed for wet and dry hair, it aims to deliver salon-worthy results while reducing styling time and minimising heat damage.

How it works

The tool uses high velocity airflow with ceramic straightening plates, allowing users to dry and style hair in one step. Suitable for all hair types, it can be used on wet hair to dry and straighten simultaneously or switched to dry styling mode for touch-ups and shine. Its HeatSense Ceramic Plates feature integrated sensors that measure heat 1,000 times per second, automatically adjusting temperature to help prevent heat damage. Rapid Dry Technology uses powerful airflow to dry hair efficiently from root to tip.

The straightener comes with three interchangeable styling combs for different hair textures and can be used to shape, curl or smooth hair. It is backed by a two-year guarantee. A cheaper alternative is the Remington Shine Hair Straightener, £30 at Argos, which offers moisture-lock coated plates.

Shopper reviews

One shopper with wavy hair said: “What a game-changer. I have long, wavy hair that tends to frizz, and my hair stayed smooth all day. Very impressed.” Another added: “Amazing. So much quicker and easier to dry and straighten your hair.” A third commented: “Absolutely love this tool. I have thick, wavy hair, and for me, this is a game-changer. My hair is wet to dry, and straight in half the time it used to take me.”

However, that shopper noted: “It is bulky. But give it a chance and give yourself time to get used to it, and I think you will be very pleasantly surprised.” Another user said: “I really liked this product, however, it wasn’t really suitable for me as I have shorter hair. I think if you have long hair it would be great but anything shorter than just below ear length bob it wouldn’t really work.”
