Amazon's Ring has announced the launch of a new Peephole Camera 2K, which replaces the traditional circular peephole lens in doors with a high-tech camera. Designed for apartment dwellers and renters, it can be installed and removed through the existing peephole.
Features and pricing
The camera offers 2K video recording with head-to-toe visibility, two-way talk for chatting to visitors or couriers, and alerts if it spots anything suspicious. It is battery-powered for simple installation. Priced at £79.99, a Ring subscription starting at £4.99 per month is required for all recording features.
Updated Outdoor Camera 2K
Amazon also launched an updated Ring Outdoor Camera 2K, which can be placed anywhere outside the home and offers 24-hour video recording. It comes in wired and battery options, with 2K video, Night Vision, up to 6x Enhanced Zoom, improved low-light recording, and weather-resistant design. Available in black and white for £99.99.
Release dates
The Ring Outdoor Camera 2K will be available from August 12, and the Peephole Camera 2K from August 19.
