The first major DLC for Pokemon Pokopia, titled Bubbly Basin, is set to release on August 5 at 2am BST, according to a Nintendo spokesperson. The expansion is exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2 and requires the base game along with the £29.99 Pokopia Season Pass.
Expansion Pass details
The Pokopia Expansion Pass grants access to three DLC packs, with additional bonuses depending on purchase timing. Players who buy the DLC will receive the dynamic Ditto print recipe and a code for Rare Pokémetal x30 via email, the latter available only if purchased before August 31, 2027.
Bubbly Basin features and access
Bubbly Basin introduces a brand new underwater town for players to explore, featuring new Pokemon, moves, and cosmetics. To start the DLC, players must complete the request "Raise the environment level!" in Bleak Beach and master the newly added Dive move, available via an update.
The second expansion, due in late 2026, will add more features but no new town. The third expansion, launching in 2027, will include another new town.
