Thousands of Brits have reported a Playstation outage with most unable to connect to the server. More than 5,000 reports of issues were logged by users in the UK by lunchtime today on Downdetector, which tracks real-time online status.
Access Problems
Some gamers are able to access the Playstation Store but have an error when trying to buy a new game, while others claim they cannot access digital games in their libraries.
One UK user wrote on Downdetector: "Can't load any digital games at all bought or free. Can't connect to servers to verify licences, doesn't matter what i try to load i get the same message every time."
Social Media Complaints
Frustrated PlayStation users have flooded social media with complaints. One player wrote: "Anyone else's PlayStation Network down??? My WiFi is definitely working but PlayStation Network isn't."
Another posted: "PlayStation servers down the second I decide I finally wanna play it, be serious right now." Meanwhile, others simply asked: "PlayStation Network down?" and "I can't log in."
