Facebook appears to be down for some people as multiple users have reported issues with the Meta app.
A number of posts have appeared on other social media channels from concerned users who have reported being logged out of Facebook, including on the app version. Others added that they are also experiencing issues with Facebook's messaging app, Facebook Messenger.
Reports and Impact
According to Down Detector, the first reports of Facebook being down were made at around 12.35pm today, with these significantly growing in volume after 1pm. There are also reports on DownDetector of issues with Instagram, which is also owned by Meta.
