Evri Driver Captures Hilarious Selfie Instead of Parcel Photo

An Evri delivery driver has gone viral after taking an unflattering photo of a customer who answered the door in a towel. Ellie Roxanne Johnson, from Rhondda in South Wales, was in the shower when she heard the knock and rushed to collect her parcel.

The driver chuckled as he handed over the package and snapped a photo for delivery confirmation, capturing the comical moment. Ms Johnson shared the image on TikTok, where it quickly gained traction.

“I’ve just seen the picture that the Evri man took of me whilst at the door in my towel,” she said in the clip. “He knocks the door. I open it. He’s not even looking at me at this point. I take it off from him. I say: ‘Oh thanks. You know you’ve just disrupted my shower’. He looks up at me and he goes ‘Haha’ [takes a photo] whilst I’m standing here like this.”

Followers praised her sense of humour, with one commenting: “That’s the best delivery photo I’ve seen.” Another wrote: “I’m sorry I’ve just laughed my head off, brilliant.”

An Evri spokesperson said: “We’re glad that Ellie has seen the funny side. Whilst we have not been provided with any information to identify and look into this fully, we do have guidance in place for our couriers about capturing delivery photos. These are stored securely, not on the courier’s device and only for as long as necessary.”
