Ferrari have confirmed that Lewis Hamilton sought medical attention after the Singapore Grand Prix, with the FIA granting him permission to skip the post-race media pen. The news emerged as Sky Sports apologised for an expletive picked up on their live broadcast.
Hamilton taken ill after race
Hamilton was transported to a medical centre in the moments after the race as a result of taking ill. While no details were confirmed about the Englishman's illness, Ferrari confirmed that Hamilton had sought medical attention.
A statement read: "After the race, Lewis felt unwell and has been seen by the FIA medical team. He has been given permission by the FIA to not attend the post-race media pen."
Sky Sports apology over Verstappen language
Elsewhere, Sky Sports were forced into an apology as Max Verstappen was picked up on their live broadcast letting an expletive slip in the cooldown room. David Croft explained: "Apologies for some of the colourful language you may have heard from the cooldown room."
Verstappen had seemingly started to find his form for Red Bull, reigning supreme for the second Grand Prix in a row in a wild weekend in Singapore.
