WWE’s most unpredictable event of the year takes place this weekend as 12 superstars battle for the Money in the Bank briefcase. The Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana hosts the latest edition, marking the first main roster WWE Premium Live Event (PLE) since SummerSlam in August.
Debuting at WrestleMania 21 as a match concept, Money in the Bank became a PLE in its own right in 2010, but the task remains the same. The briefcase hangs above the ring, with multiple ladders available for the six superstars to use either to attack opponents or to climb and retrieve the prize. The winner is declared once one superstar climbs above the rest and snatches the briefcase, which contains a contract granting the right to challenge for any championship at any time within a 12-month period.
Two ladder matches and a star-studded card
This year’s event features two Money in the Bank ladder matches for the men and the women. The winners are virtually guaranteed to become world champions. On the men’s side, Bron Breakker, Je'Von Evans, Trick Williams, Penta, CM Punk and Kevin Owens secured their spots by winning triple threat qualifiers on Raw or SmackDown. Punk, a former two-time Money in the Bank winner, could be the favourite for a three-peat given his resume, while a win for Bron Breakker would set him on the road to becoming a main event player.
Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Jacy Jayne, Roxanne Perez, Lash Legend and Tiffany Stratton will compete in a match showcasing the future of women's wrestling, where the latter could become a two-time Money in the Bank winner.
Championship bouts and key rivalries
On the undercard, Oba Femi looks to settle a score with Bronson Reed, while Stephanie Vaquer is at a disadvantage when she puts the WWE women's world championship on the line in a triple threat match against Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch. Elsewhere, LA Knight will challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship. This match was made official after Reigns was attacked by Knight following a successful title defence on the September 14 episode of Monday Night Raw in Mexico City.
An added intrigue to this bout is the looming threat of The 946. Having already put Jacob Fatu on the sidelines with a shocking attack carried out by newest recruit Jaida Parker, a warning has been issued to The Usos and Reigns, but will they follow through on Saturday night?

In the UK, WWE Money in the Bank is scheduled to start at 11pm BST on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The Premium Live Event takes place at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. UK viewers can watch and stream it live on Netflix, with a standard subscription costing £7.99 per month, cancellable at any time.
