UFC 330: Makhachev vs Garry start time and how to watch

Islam Makhachev puts his welterweight title on the line tonight when he takes on Ireland's Ian Garry at UFC 330 in Philadelphia. Machado Garry will attempt to dethrone one of the best fighters in UFC history, while Makhachev aims to win a 15th successive fight in the promotion, which would break Anderson Silva's long-standing record.

Title fight details and UK start time

Makhachev, coached by Khabib Nurmagomedov, won the 170lb belt last year by dethroning Jack Della Maddalena. Machado Garry has fought only twice since his first career loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov two years ago, with victories over Carlos Prates and Belal Muhammad earning him the title shot.

The main event is scheduled for around 5am UK time, with the five-fight main card — including two five-round title fights — beginning at 2am. All times are subject to change depending on earlier bouts.

Makhachev said of Garry: “I saw a couple of his interviews, honestly he looks very bad in these interviews. Better for him training more and do less interviews. It looks like somebody in the house controls him and tells him what to say in the interview. He looked very bad in the interviews, honestly.”

Garry responded: “If you look at my last five opponents versus Islam’s last five opponents, in my opinion, it’s not a discussion whose [were] more difficult. When you look at who I fought, Belal Muhammad, Shavkat Rakhmonov, Carlos Prates, [Michael 'Venom' Page], those four are four of the trickiest fighters on the planet. All of them present real, real danger.”

He added: “I’ve been fighting the highest level of MMA fights against the toughest opponents. When I step into this octagon against Islam Makhachev, I’m gonna prove to the world why Ian Machado is truly great.”
