Tyson Fury has relocated his family from Morecambe to the Isle of Man following disturbing visits from 'nut jobs' at his former home. The 'Gypsy King' recently returned to boxing and faces Mariusz Wach in Pattaya, Thailand, this Friday, July 24, with the opening bell expected around 4pm UK time.
New Life on the Isle of Man
The former heavyweight champion moved his wife Paris and their family of seven to a historic, two-century-old rural mansion in December 2025. The three-story home is perched on a scenic hill overlooking the countryside near Peel, nestled within sprawling private woodlands. It features six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a home cinema, a state-of-the-art workout facility, a private study, a recreation space, and a relaxing sauna.
For over ten years, the Fury family lived in a coastal house in Morecambe. However, constant influx of unwanted trespassers prompted the drastic move. 'When people know where you live, you can be targeted at any time, so now I have moved and my address is confidential,' Fury said.
The Final Straw
'The final straw was when I had a lunatic come over my gates – 40ft gates. I've got an attack dog, I've got everything. The police came and he said: 'I'm here to be adopted by Tyson and Paris',' Fury recounted. 'I wasn't home, I was at the gym and Paris phoned me going nuts. This man could have had a knife or anything on him. At that moment I thought 'I'm f****d here'.'
He added: 'I also had to disconnect my intercom on the gates because it was going all night, every weekend. I had crackpots, drunk people, parking outside the front of the house ringing the bell asking 'is Tyson in'? I've had a million nut jobs at my place.'
One incident involved a man 'dressed in seashells from head-to-toe, looked like an absolute lunatic. He said 'God sent me here to speak to you'.'
Why the Isle of Man?
Fury explained his choice: 'I looked at moving abroad, far away, but it turned out that the Isle of Man is the perfect place for me – English speaking, English pound notes. I can go and get an English newspaper from the local petrol station with my coffee and speak my own lingo.'
His arrival has been welcomed by locals. Manx boxer Jade 'the Grenade' Burden told the BBC: 'I think we should be proud to have him here - he's one of our own now. I think it's going to be inspiring for young kids, and anyone who is into boxing with him being over here as a two-time heavyweight world champion - it's nothing short of inspiring what he has done, and what he has bounced back from.'
