Tyson Fury has been outweighed for the first time in well over a decade after being dwarfed by Mariusz Wach ahead of their fight. The two heavyweights will meet behind closed doors in Thailand on Friday night. Fury looks to get crucial rounds before a showdown with Anthony Joshua later this year.
Weigh-in results
Polish veteran Wach, 46, weighed in at 291.4lb. Fury tipped the scales at 265lb, 2lb lighter than when he faced Arslanbek Makhmudov earlier this year. The last time Fury was outweighed was in 2011 when Derek Chisora came in over 5lb heavier. John McDermott and Daniil Peretyatko are the only others to have outweighed Fury.
Fury's reaction
Speaking after weighing in, Fury said: "I've put in lots of work. I feel fitter, sharper and stronger. I've never faced a man heavier than me. I'm normally always the fat c***. I'm Mr Slim now." He added: "I want to keep busy, I'm not banking myself on any fight that may or may not happen. This is the year I want Tyson Fury to stay busy, I may even have ten fights this year."
Fury will not attend Joshua's comeback fight in Saudi Arabia, instead returning home to the Isle of Man to his family after being away for ten weeks.
