Swansea City have announced more significant changes at the club, with the appointment of a new coach, the departure of another and a promotion for chief scout Jay Lefevre to head of recruitment.
New Head of Goalkeeping Appointed
Pedro Pereira becomes the club’s new head of goalkeeping, subject to work permit and visa confirmation. The Portuguese most recently held the role of goalkeeping coach at Red Bull Salzburg and worked with head coach Vitor Matos at the Austrian club, as well as with Porto earlier in their careers. Pereira has more than 15 years of coaching experience and also had stints at clubs such as Al Sadd and Famalicao.
Chief Scout Promoted to Head of Recruitment
The club has also confirmed Lefevre has been appointed as head of recruitment. He joined the Swans as chief scout in December 2025 from Celtic, and has impressed bosses with his work in recent months devising the club's summer transfer strategy following the departure of Adam Worth in April. Lefevre will report directly to new sporting director Ben Stevens, whose appointment was confirmed on Friday. That position had been vacant since Director of Football, Richard Montague, left in September 2025.
Assistant Head Coach Departs
The shake-up also sees assistant head coach Ryan Maye leave the club by mutual consent. The Swans said: "We thank Ryan for his efforts during his time at the club, and wish him and his family all the very best for the future."
