Swansea City have confirmed their schedule of friendlies for the upcoming pre-season trip to Austria. The Swans are set to take on Bundesliga 2 duo Holstein Kiel and VFL Bochum, with a third friendly still to be confirmed. The club claims the final fixture of the trip will be against a top-flight European side.
Austria Tour Details
The first team are set to report to Fairwood in the next few days for physical testing before undergoing their training programme. The trip to Austria is pencilled in for July 17, where they will stay for a full week. The club have also confirmed there will likely be some behind-closed-doors fixtures organised this summer.

The Austria tour fixtures are as follows: Saturday, July 18 – Swansea City v Holstein Kiel at Kufstein Arena; Tuesday, July 21 – Swansea City v VFL Bochum at Fussballplatz Mittersill; Friday, July 24 – Swansea City v TBC at Fussballplatz Mittersill. The home friendly is scheduled for Saturday, August 1 – Swansea City v CD Leganes at the Swansea.com Stadium, with kick-off at 3pm.
Season Opener
The home friendly against the Spanish second tier side Leganes precedes their opening game of the season against Birmingham City in the Carabao Cup the following weekend.
