Southport Air Show adds P-51 Mustang 'Jersey Jerk'

The Southport Air Show has confirmed that a new aircraft will be joining its flying display schedule. The event, which returns on Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30, will feature the P-51 Mustang named "Jersey Jerk," known for its "unmistakable roar."

New Addition to the Display Lineup

In a social media post on Tuesday, August 11, the organisers wrote: "Experience the unmistakable roar of the legendary P-51 Mustang as 'Jersey Jerk' takes to the skies over Southport." The aircraft will appear on both days of the event.

Alongside the P-51 Mustang, the airshow will feature several other flying displays, including the world-famous Red Arrows, who serve as the event's yearly main attraction. The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team is regarded as one of the world's premier aerobatic display squadrons.
