Bow Echo Shines in St James's Palace Stakes
Talk of the track was Bow Echo, the brilliant winner of the 2,000 Guineas, who backed up Newmarket glory for trainer George Boughey with a win in the Group 1 St James's Palace Stakes under jockey Billy Loughnane after a seismic battle with nearest-rival Gstaad.
Ten Bob Tony Causes Early Shock
Ten Bob Tony got the day off to a shocking start for punters as he delivered a 50/1 shocker in the opener before Aidan O'Brien made his first key moves of the meeting. The Ballydoyle master took his tally for the meeting to 98 with wins for Great Barrier Reef and Mission Central before Bow Echo struck.
O'Brien's son Joseph also joined the winners party as Kizlyar struck, with Map of Stars also on target to provide a winner for France.
