Derek McInnes makes his Ibrox bow as Rangers host French side St Etienne in a friendly clash tonight.
It will be a first taste of Ibrox action for much of Rangers' new-look squad. With their massive league opener against Dundee United – quickly followed by a Euro trip to Poland – looming on the horizon, McInnes will be setting the standards high.
McInnes' Touchline Ban
McInnes will have to wait a few weeks before taking to the Ibrox dugout for a competitive game after being hit with a touchline ban, so he'll be relishing his first venture into it as home boss tonight.
They've had a training camp in Portugal as well as a few closed-doors friendlies under their belt, so McInnes will expect his team to be sharp and on it.
Familiar Face in Opposing Dugout
Interestingly, it's a familiar face in the opposing dugout as Ian Cathro, who struggled at Hearts but has since reinvented himself into one of the most exciting young coaches in Europe, has been tasked with rebuilding the fallen French giants.
As friendlies go, it's an interesting one.
