Newcastle's Christmas Village will return to Old Eldon Square from November 21 to December 31, 2026, turning part of the city centre into a 'festive playground'. The announcement came as temperatures in the North East peaked at over 30 degrees on Thursday, but organisers are already looking ahead to the winter season.
Attractions and Activities
The ferris wheel that featured last year will return, along with the popular carousel. Mrs Claus' Bakery, a new addition in 2025, will also make a comeback. Visitors can enjoy winter movie magic at Festive Flix, toast s'mores at Marshmallow Land, and watch performances including K Pop Christmas, The Grinch, and Christmas With The Stars on the Rockin' Reindeer Stage.
Santa's Storytime and Tickets
At the centre of the village will be Santa's Storytime tent, where children can meet Santa Claus and his elves. Tickets for the separate activities are already available to book online at www.christmasvillagenewcastle.co.uk.
The Christmas Village is part of the wider Newcastle Christmas Market, which has become a popular annual event for people of all ages. Further details about the market were also unveiled on Thursday.
