Magic Weekend 2026 is set to take place at Hill Dickinson Stadium, the home of Everton FC, on Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5. The event will feature six Super League fixtures, attracting thousands of rugby fans to Liverpool's waterfront. With ticket sales exceeding 80,000, the event is approaching a record-breaking attendance.
Fixtures and Schedule
The weekend kicks off on Saturday, July 4 with three matches: Huddersfield Giants vs York Knights at 12:30 PM, Hull KR vs Hull FC at 3:00 PM, and Leigh Leopards vs Warrington Wolves at 5:30 PM. Sunday, July 5 features Wakefield Trinity vs Castleford Tigers at 12:30 PM, Leeds Rhinos vs Bradford Bulls at 3:00 PM, and Wigan Warriors vs St Helens at 5:30 PM.
Ticket Information
Ticket sales have surpassed 80,000, with weekend passes completely sold out. Limited single-day tickets remain available as of publication. Fans are encouraged to purchase promptly to avoid disappointment.
Travel and Transport
Merseyrail will operate enhanced services for the event. On Saturday, trains run every 15 minutes on the Southport, Ormskirk, Hunts Cross, and Headbolt Lane lines, with timetable adjustments on the Southport line (10:45 AM–4:30 PM) and Headbolt Lane line (10:51 AM–7:36 PM). At Cressington station, trains run every 30 minutes throughout the day. On Sunday, a special timetable with extra services will be in place. The Old Hall Street exit at Moorfields station will be open for a 25-minute walk to the stadium.
Stadium Preparations
Final preparations are underway, with rugby posts installed as the stadium transitions from Premier League to rugby league mode. Everton's chief revenue officer Aaron Duckmanton stated: "Excitement is really building as Hill Dickinson Stadium prepares to welcome Magic WKND for the first time. The response has been outstanding, with ticket sales showing just how much demand there is. Fulfilling what will be a record-breaking Magic WKND is another important step in our journey."
