Kendal Calling, one of the UK's fastest-growing festivals, is expanding its glamping offerings, and those who've tried it say they'll never go back to standard camping. The festival, which takes place in Lowther Park, has become a four-day event attracting 40,000 attendees, with more than half of next year's tickets already sold out.
The Glamping Experience
This year, some lucky festival-goers stayed in Deer Lodge, the glamping area, in The Who tents. These tents come with two twin beds, chairs, a cosy mat, a light, duvet, and pillows. But the comfort doesn't stop there.
Glampers enjoy access to flushing toilets that stay clean all weekend, hot showers, and a dedicated coffee tent. There are also stalls selling breakfast buns and pizza, which are cheaper than in the main arena.
Space and Amenities
The glamping site offers plenty of space, with tents already erected in neat lines. There are picnic benches, a bar, and even a music tent for emerging acts. The only regret? Not booking into Deer Lodge on previous visits.
Kendal Calling continues to pull in big names like The Kooks, Two Door Cinema Club, Biffy Clyro, and Wolf Alice, with 2026 also featuring The Libertines, Ash, The Coral, Scissor Sisters, and Primal Scream. Beyond music, the festival offers comedy and Lost Eden, a magical woodland area.
