Kelvin Fletcher's ITV Show Bumped for Football in Schedule Shake-Up

Fletcher's Family Farm will not air in its usual Sunday slot this week, as ITV replaces the programme with a Championship football match. The show, which follows Kelvin Fletcher and his family on their Cheshire farm, typically broadcasts on Sunday mornings at 11.30am, but this Sunday it has been pulled from the schedule.

In its place, Southampton v Portsmouth will run from 11.40am to 2.25pm. The listing reads: "Southampton v Portsmouth (Kick-off 12.00pm). Hugh Woozencroft presents all the action from the south coast derby in the Championship, held at St Mary's Stadium."

Football Takes Over the Slot

The synopsis adds: "Both meetings between the rivals last term ended in draws, but the Saints will be hoping to maintain their 100 percent home record this term, as they look to continue climbing up the table after being docked four points at the start of the campaign due to the 'Spygate' scandal."

Coverage includes "analysis from Matt Taylor and Francis Benali, commentary by Joe Speight and Iain Dowie, and reports from Katie Shanahan."

Rebuilding the Family Home

The previous Sunday saw the show start at 11.25am, with Liz and Kelvin discussing the house blaze that forced them to leave their family home. Liz revealed the farmhouse would be their next major project, though she expects it to take considerable time to finish.

The refurbishment follows the family being compelled to vacate their home after a fire broke out while they were on holiday abroad last year. Liz commented: "The next big project is actually our house, which I didn't ever think was going to be on the list. But yeah, it'll be nice to put this energy and effort into the house now and build a home for the kids."

She added: "The twins don't remember living in it. That's how long it's been. They call it the burnt house, which is sad, really, but listen, one day we'll be able to move back in, and it'll just be their home."

Despite the work ahead, Liz voiced her eagerness to begin: "I imagine it'll take us forever to finish it, but I guess that'll be part of our story now, won't it? I can't wait to lay some bricks, start mixing some cement, doing some hard graft. I'm excited for it."

Return Date and Next Episode

Fletcher's Family Farm will return on Sunday, October 18 at 11.30am with the third episode of the new series. The synopsis reads: "Liz and Kelvin discover that some farming questions are a lot harder to answer than others when Milo gets inquisitive about artificially inseminating the pigs."

It continues: "The farmhouse clear-out begins in earnest as plans are in for the renovation works, while with the Royal Cheshire Country Show looming, Marnie takes on the challenge of halter-training orphan lamb Hope." Fletcher's Family Farm is available to watch on ITVX.
