Free Panini World Cup Sticker Swap Shop in Greater Manchester
Free Panini World Cup Sticker Swap in Greater Manchester

A free sticker swap club is being held in Greater Manchester twice a week throughout the World Cup for football fans to offload their duplicates and help finish off their collection. The Entertainer stores in Manchester Arndale, Stockport, Oldham, Altrincham, Bury and Bolton are participating in the special sessions.

Sticker Swap Details

The swap shop will be open between 3.30pm and 4.30pm every Tuesday and Thursday until July 16. Sessions are open to anyone with authentic Panini FIFA World Cup stickers, regardless of where they were purchased.

Collecting the Panini FIFA World Cup stickers has become a global phenomenon since the nostalgia-tinged hobby launched with the 1970 tournament in Mexico. This year's collection consists of 980 stickers across 48 teams. It's estimated that, without swapping and with plenty of luck, it would cost fans around £1,300 to complete the collection.

Rare Stickers and Value

Some trading card companies have offered up to $150,000 (£113,321) for each of the elusive 1/1 Black stickers of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lamine Yamal, which are considered among the rarest stickers in this year's packs.

With World Cup fever mounting as the tournament inches closer to the final on Sunday, July 19 at the New York-New Jersey Stadium, fans are trying to complete their collection in time, making sticker swap shops increasingly popular.

The Entertainer stores at Manchester Arndale, Stockport, Oldham, Altrincham, Bury and Bolton will all be taking part in the special sessions.
