The event, organised by Sunderland City Council, aims to create a welcoming atmosphere for families, friends, and football fans of all ages.

The fan zone will feature a big screen showing the match, with pre-match build-up starting from 7pm. Limited seating will be available in Keel Square, and food and refreshments will be on sale from nearby businesses. Admission is free, but spectators are encouraged to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot.
Council leader Coun Chris Eynon said: "We're delighted to be bringing people together in Keel Square to support England. Events like this create a fantastic community atmosphere, giving residents and visitors the opportunity to enjoy a major sporting occasion together. The Washington branch of Iceland has rebranded to "England" in honour of the team's success, as Washington is the hometown of goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. The temporary name change will remain for the duration of England's tournament campaign.
