Everton have confirmed that their final pre-season friendly will be against Lille at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, August 15, with the match marking the return of former assistant manager Davide Ancelotti to the club. Ancelotti, who worked under his father Carlo at Everton, was named as Lille's head coach earlier this summer and is currently assisting Brazil at the World Cup.
Pre-Season Schedule
The friendly against Lille will conclude Everton's pre-season campaign, which begins next month with a trip to Dundee. The Blues will also face Bolton Wanderers, Stoke City, Hamburg (with both men's and women's teams), VfB Stuttgart, and Newcastle United at Murrayfield in Edinburgh. The Lille match kicks off at 3pm BST.
Premier League Opener
The pre-season ends one week before Everton host Crystal Palace on the opening weekend of the Premier League. The full schedule includes: Dundee FC (July 18), Bolton Wanderers (July 25), Stoke City (July 28), Hamburg (August 1), Stuttgart (August 8), Newcastle United (August 12), and Lille (August 15).
