The Carabao Cup second round draw takes place tonight, with the 11 Premier League clubs not involved in European competitions entering the fray. Chelsea, Newcastle and Leeds are among those awaiting their opponents, which could be fellow top-flight sides or teams from the EFL.
First round drama
Round one produced plenty of drama, with several ties decided by penalties. Burnley needed a winning spot kick from Kyle Walker to avoid an upset against Notts County at Turf Moor, while Millwall goalkeeper Lukas Jensen saved all four of QPR's penalties in their shootout at Loftus Road, marking a fairytale return after 15 months out injured.
West Ham and Wolves both secured three-goal wins, while Norwich and West Brom scored four each to advance in style. The final first-round tie, Plymouth Argyle versus Exeter City in the Devon Derby at Home Park, takes place after the draw.

The draw is scheduled to begin at 7:20pm, prior to the Plymouth-Exeter clash, which kicks off at 8pm. The competition remains split into north and south sections for the second round, though the third round will not be regionalised.
