Cadillac F1 team principal replaced after 11 races

Cadillac have confirmed a change of team principal just halfway through their first season on the Formula 1 grid. Graeme Lowdon, who built the team from the ground up and oversaw its preparations for its F1 debut, has been replaced after the first 11 rounds of the maiden season.

Planned leadership transition

In a sudden announcement on Wednesday, Cadillac described the move as a "planned leadership transition as the organization evolves from its initial build phase into the next stage of racing performance". Lowdon's tenure has come to an abrupt end after overseeing just 11 races.

New team principal named

Lowdon has been replaced by former Alpine chief Marcin Budkowski, who begins work as team principal immediately. Budkowski takes over as the team shifts focus from building to performance.
