Their final test comes against a Milan side who have endured a more difficult summer under new head coach - and former United boss - Ruben Amorim.

There is considerable interest surrounding the United line-up, with Marcus Rashford likely to make his first appearance for the club since December 2024. Carrick has indicated Rashford could feature alongside Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez, who have also returned late to pre-season following their World Cup commitments.
United do have several injury concerns. Benjamin Sesko, Matthijs de Ligt and Mason Mount are among those considered doubts. Amorim will be looking for a response after Milan's disappointing 3-0 defeat to Chelsea in their latest pre-season outing. The Portuguese manager has already spoken about the need for his players to be ready for the start of Serie A, with Milan opening their league campaign against Torino.
Summer signing Gonçalo Ramos has made cameo appearances during pre-season and is expected to be handed a starting role against United. Milan's squad remains in a state of flux, however, with Amorim reportedly willing to sanction departures to make room for further additions. Fikayo Tomori was left out of the defeat to Chelsea and appears to be heading towards the exit, while goalkeeper Mike Maignan has yet to return to pre-season training amid continued speculation surrounding his future.
