Marcus Rashford's hopes of a permanent move to Barcelona may have been revived, with reports suggesting Brazilian winger Raphinha could leave the Catalan club for Saudi side Al-Hilal. The Manchester United forward joined Barcelona on loan last summer with a £26m option to buy, which expired after the club opted to sign Anthony Gordon instead.
According to GE Globo, Al-Hilal are interested in signing Raphinha, and the 29-year-old is reportedly open to talks, though he will delay discussions until after the World Cup. Barcelona previously convinced Raphinha to stay in 2024, but a substantial fee from Al-Hilal could change their stance.
Should Raphinha depart, Barcelona might reconsider a move for Rashford, though fresh negotiations with United would be required. The 28-year-old scored 14 goals this season but remains convinced his future lies away from Old Trafford. United are demanding around £40m for a permanent transfer and have ruled out another loan.
Rashford has been blocked from joining Manchester City or Liverpool, while Arsenal have moved on. He is due to hold talks with United officials about his future after the World Cup. Meanwhile, Raphinha recently dismissed speculation about his exit, accusing a journalist of spreading lies about his intentions.
