British Contenders
Jack Draper and Emma Raducanu lead British hopes in the men's and women's draws respectively. Raducanu, who reached the final of Queen's a fortnight ago, secured a seeding by sneaking into the world's top 32. Cameron Norrie is also seeded. Draper, returning from an injury setback in Barcelona, made a winning start under new coach Sir Andy Murray at the Eastbourne Open.
Serena Williams Returns
Serena Williams, a seven-time Wimbledon champion, received a wildcard after a stunning retirement U-turn. The 41-year-old returned to action at Queen's Club after almost four years out, partnering Victoria Mboko in doubles before Mboko's MCL injury. She then joined Karolina Muchova in Berlin but lost in the first round.
Reigning Champions
Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek arrive as reigning champions. Sinner defeated Carlos Alcaraz in a four-set final on Centre Court, while Swiatek swept Amanda Anisimova 6-0 6-0 in the women's final.
