The dates for the two Manchester derbies next season have been revealed. Manchester City and Manchester United will face each other for the first time next season just four games into the campaign, when the Blues visit Old Trafford on the weekend of September 12-13.
After that clash, the return game at the Etihad will take place much later in the season, with the fixture scheduled for the weekend of March 20-21.
With only the broadcast selections for the opening weekend of the season confirmed by the Premier League, both games will be moved from the traditional 3pm Saturday slot so they can be shown live on TV.
This season will see Enzo Maresca take charge of the Blues in his first Manchester derby after the departure of Pep Guardiola, while Michael Carrick will look to maintain his 100% record against City.
The first derby of last season took place in the middle of September, with City beating Ruben Amorim's United 3-0, with Erling Haaland netting twice and Phil Foden getting the other.
The return fixture at Old Trafford was on January 17 and was notable for being Carrick's first game in charge after Amorim's sacking. He delivered a smart tactical performance that saw United win 2-0, with goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Patrick Dorgu.
