Everton told they have 'exceptional' talent as pre-season demand issued

Former Premier League winger Robert Snodgrass has urged Tyler Dibling to return for pre-season ready to impress David Moyes, labeling the 20-year-old an “exceptional talent” who has already proven he can make an impact in the top flight.

Dibling's Challenging First Season at Everton

Dibling endured a tough start to life at the Blues after signing from Southampton last summer in an initial £35m deal. He found himself behind Jack Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye as the pair made a fast start to the season and then struggled to take advantage of the limited opportunities handed to him as the campaign progressed.

There is an acceptance at Finch Farm that this is a big summer for the attacking midfielder and hope he can now push on having had almost a year to settle on Merseyside.

Snodgrass's Advice: Pre-Season Key

For Snodgrass, whose career included stints at West Ham, Aston Villa, Leeds and Hull, the youngster has no shortage of talent. He told the talkSPORT BET Sportsbook it is now the time for him to fight for greater chances at the Blues.

“Tyler Dibling is a great talent, but they would have thought he would have kicked on more at Everton when given the opportunity. The big thing for me is that you need to get game time,” Snodgrass said.

“You need to be match fit and sharp. He needs to have a good pre-season and show he really wants to be there. Your body language needs to show that you want to perform. I've seen people talking about him saying he needs to be better, and he does.”

Loan Option Also on the Table

Snodgrass added that if Dibling cannot break into the first team, a loan move could be beneficial. “My advice would be to come back fit and strong to push for the manager's plans, or go out on loan to get some game time. Find that spark and keep progressing on your learning curve. I am sure he will have plenty of options as a top talent.”

The former Scotland international believes game-time is now the priority for the England youth international and hopes he can make the case to get it at Everton.
