Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty and his wife Holly Ramsay have jetted off to Romania for a swimming competition, just weeks after their honeymoon in Mauritius. The couple, who married in Bath late last year, are now heading to the Sprint With The Stars event, where amateur youth swimmers compete against elite international champions in a 50-metre sprint.
In a photo shared on Instagram, Holly, 26, wore a black Alo jumper, while Adam, 31, sported Ray Ban sunglasses and a black T-shirt. The couple flew economy on a commercial flight, captioning the post: “Taking off for Romania @sprintwiththestars, here we come!”
The trip comes amid reports of a rift between Adam and his own parents, with his mother reportedly excluded from the wedding. However, his relationship with his in-laws appears strong. Gordon Ramsay, Holly’s father, shared a touching tribute on Instagram after the wedding, calling it “a moment I’ll never ever forget.”
Gordon posted a reel of snaps from the day, including a photo of him holding a microphone during his speech. He wrote: “One of the most exciting car journeys ever in a father’s life is on the way to the Church with your beautiful daughter… a moment I’ll never ever forget.” Holly replied, “I love you dad xx,” while Adam added three white love hearts.
The wedding was attended by Adam’s sister Bethany, but his parents were absent due to a reported family row. Despite this, the couple appear focused on their future, with Adam returning to competition and Holly supporting him ringside.
