Friday's six meetings across Britain include evening cards at Newmarket and Wolverhampton, with the Newsboy selecting Rose Of Honour as the nap at the former and Chapter as the next best at the latter.
Rose Of Honour, trained by James Tate, is the choice for the 8.08 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies' Handicap at Newmarket. The daughter of Night Of Thunder won both starts as a two-year-old last September, over six furlongs at Kempton Park and Southwell, and made it three from three when beating Papa Cocktail by a neck in a Doncaster handicap in May. Her unbeaten record ended when finishing tenth of 15 behind Argentine Tango in the Listed Land O'Burns Fillies' Stakes at Ayr last time out, but the step up in class, drop to five furlongs and first encounter with soft ground may explain the defeat. Back in handicap company, on quicker ground and returning to six furlongs, Hector Crouch's mount is expected to show her true colours.
At Wolverhampton, Chapter (4.28) is tipped to challenge favourite Go Rimbaud in the Free Race Replays On attheraces.com Handicap. Charlie Hills' son of Dark Angel responded to first-time blinkers when scoring at Sandown Park last month, and a 4lb rise is considered within range if the headgear continues to have a positive effect.
The Newsboy's daily double consists of Rose Of Honour and Chapter. Full selections for all six meetings are listed, covering Wolverhampton, Nottingham, Hamilton Park, Newbury, Newmarket and Pontefract.
