Lawrence Dallaglio, the England 2003 Rugby World Cup winner, is rebuilding his life after being declared bankrupt last year. The 52-year-old has moved into a rented four-bedroom house in St Albans, Hertfordshire, with a new partner, according to reports.
The former England captain was declared bankrupt by the Insolvency and Companies Court in 2025, following an application by his ex-wife Alice to sell their former London home. Despite the sale, a creditor secured a bankruptcy order. Dallaglio owed £423,570 in overdrawn director's loans from his sports business, Lawrence Dallaglio Ltd, plus over £60,000 to liquidators after dissolving the company in 2024.
Dallaglio now rents the property for £2,750 a month, a significant downsizing from his previous home. A neighbour told the Daily Mail that Dallaglio moved in with his partner in May and has settled well, attending dinners with neighbours. The couple also have a puppy named Ziggy, which has its own TikTok account.
Despite his financial troubles, Dallaglio remains involved in rugby, working as a pundit for Premier Sports. He was recently photographed looking relaxed at a cigar awards dinner in London.
