Chris Robshaw's Wife Plots Genius Plan to Get Him Back from Rugby

Camilla Kerslake, the soprano married to former England rugby captain Chris Robshaw, has revealed a cunning strategy to ensure her husband spends more time at home. The couple, who married in 2018 and have two children, have been training together as a way to bond after Robshaw's retirement from professional rugby in 2022.

Kerslake, who has performed for Queen Elizabeth II and Camilla, the Queen Consort, said: 'Even though I'm retired, I can't sit still; I always want to be on the go.' She added that training together has been 'a great way to spend time together', though she draws the line at roller discos.

The couple first met at a charity dinner in a fancy hotel, where Robshaw was attending in a rugby capacity and Kerslake was performing. 'When I saw her on stage I thought: this person is extremely talented and also very good looking,' Robshaw recalled. Their meeting was serendipitous: 'If I had stayed at my table for one more drink, we would never have met.'

Robshaw, who captained England from 2012 to 2015, said that being with Kerslake was an escape from the intensity of his rugby career. 'She was great at bringing out my fun side, as well as being just as career-driven as I was.' The couple now run the Kerslake Robshaw Foundation, which supports young people from less privileged backgrounds.
