UFC 329 LIVE: McGregor vs Holloway 2 results

Conor McGregor makes his long-awaited return to the octagon tonight at UFC 329, facing Max Holloway in a welterweight main event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The fight marks McGregor's first bout since July 2021, when he suffered a broken leg in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier.

McGregor's five-year hiatus ends

The former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion was originally scheduled to fight Michael Chandler in 2024, but a toe injury forced him to withdraw. This time, McGregor insists he is ready to prove he can still compete at the highest level. Holloway, a UFC legend, aims to avenge his 2013 loss to McGregor at a UFC Fight Night event. Since then, Holloway has fought eight times, including a knockout win over Justin Gaethje and a loss to Charles Oliveira for the 'BMF' title in March.

Paddy Pimblett returns after first UFC defeat

Before the main event, Paddy Pimblett takes on Benoit Saint Denis in a lightweight bout. Pimblett suffered his first UFC loss in January, a brutal defeat to Gaethje, and is looking to quickly re-enter the title picture. The fight card also features London flyweight Lone'er Kavanagh and Pimblett's Next Gen teammate Luke Riley.
