Zatsgood, renamed 'Zatsbad' after a disappointing run at Leicester last time out, is expected to return to form in the Unibet More Extra Place Races Handicap at Kempton on Thursday evening. The 7.08 race is the feature of an eight-race card at the Surrey track.
Zatsgood's Previous Form
Trained by George Boughey, the son of Frankel had one start in France for André Fabre before joining his current yard. He made the frame at Newcastle and Kempton before winning impressively at Lingfield Park on May 12, beating Zoffandia by a length and a quarter over a mile. That victory earned him a 4lb rise in the ratings to 82.
Sent off the 13-8 favourite at Leicester 24 days ago, Zatsgood finished a well-beaten seventh behind Noble Horizon on his turf debut. Connections reported to stewards that the ground was softer than the official 'good' description. Whether the step up to 1m 2f or the surface caused the defeat remains unclear, but the chestnut is not written off yet.

Back on Polytrack and over a mile, Zatsgood's unchanged rating of 82 looks within range. He should show his true colours and is Newsboy's Nap of the day.
Mereside Princess at Nottingham
At Nottingham, Mereside Princess (4.05) is the next best selection. Trained by David and Nicola Barron, she has won three of her last four starts. Her hat-trick bid was denied by a nose at Musselburgh last time. She faces seven opponents in the Watch Racing TV Now Handicap and is expected to score again.
