Tommy Fury's True Feelings About Eddie Hall Win Revealed in Backstage Clip
Tommy Fury's True Feelings on Hall Win Caught on Camera

Tommy Fury's true feelings about his performance against Eddie Hall were caught on camera backstage after his victory in Manchester last weekend. The fighter, who outpointed the former World's Strongest Man, may not have been as happy as he appeared in the ring.

The Fight and Victory

Fury, brother of former heavyweight world champion Tyson, faced Hall in a bout that saw him survive an early onslaught from a man weighing 100lb more. Fury danced his way to victory, with two of three guest judges—Tony Bellew and Derek Chisora—scoring the fight in his favor, while Chase DeMoor scored it a draw, resulting in a majority decision.

Fury used the post-fight announcement to reveal the name of his second child with partner Molly-Mae Hague, who had given birth earlier in the week. He walked to the ring with "Midas" on his kit and said: "This was for my new baby boy, Midas. It is another Fury, it’s another boy. I’ve fought a lot of people, and this guy can fight. He’s not slow, he’s fit. Thank you for taking the fight and thank you for a great night in Manchester."

Backstage Footage Reveals Doubts

However, footage captured backstage tells a different story. Lip reading expert Nicola Hickling, speaking to CasinoHawks, analyzed the clip. She believes Molly-Mae said: "You smashed it, babe," to which Fury's reply was not visible. His response prompted her to say: "No it wasn't, you smashed it. Don't put it down, it was a good fight." Fury's further reply then led Molly-Mae to ask: "Really?"

Context of the Fight

This was Fury's first fight in over a year, adding to his victories over social media stars KSI and Jake Paul. Hall, meanwhile, was in just his second boxing match, having lost his debut to fellow strongman Thor Bjornsson. After the fight, Hall said: "Tommy was a really hard guy to catch, and I knew that would be the case. My engine let me down in the end. Hopefully, I get back to MMA now, hopefully in Misfits."
