Stroll's Savage Retort to Colapinto: 'Focus on Scoring Points'
Stroll hits back at Colapinto over F1 criticism

Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll has launched a scathing response to criticism from fellow Formula 1 racer Franco Colapinto, suggesting the Argentine should focus on his own performance after a contentious collision at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.

The Brazilian GP Controversy

The feud ignited after the recent race at Interlagos, where Stroll collided with Brazilian rookie Gabriel Bortoleto on the very first lap. The incident forced Bortoleto into an early retirement from his home race, a devastating blow for the local driver.

Colapinto, who witnessed the clash unfold directly in front of him, did not hold back in his post-race assessment. He publicly accused the Canadian driver of "always taking people out" and claimed Stroll was "not looking in the mirrors."

Stroll's Fiery Comeback in Las Vegas

Ahead of this weekend's Las Vegas Grand Prix, the 27-year-old Stroll was asked for his reaction to Colapinto's remarks. His response was brutally direct.

"I heard about it. I don't know. Maybe he's frustrated and angry with life," Stroll began, before taking aim at Colapinto's standing in the championship. "I don't know how many points he has in the championship. I can't tell you. He has zero points, I don't know. He should probably focus on his own things and try to score some points this year."

Adding more fuel to the fire, Stroll continued with a piece of unsolicited advice: "Probably Franco should focus on scoring a point or something this year. Maybe he's frustrated with his season and not where he wants to be. He needs to speak about other things that are irrelevant. My advice to him is that he tries to focus on his own thing and maybe score a point this year."

Championship Reality and Contract Contrast

Stroll's comments highlight a stark reality in the current F1 standings. Franco Colapinto is indeed rooted to the very bottom of the world championship leaderboard, having failed to score a single point across the season's 15 race weekends.

Despite this poor form, the Alpine team has shown faith in the young driver by extending his contract for the 2026 season.

Stroll, the son of Aston Martin team owner Lawrence Stroll, finds himself in 15th place in the championship. While he sits eight points behind his esteemed teammate Fernando Alonso, he has also failed to score a point in his last six consecutive races.

In a contrasting perspective, Gabriel Bortoleto, the driver directly involved in the Interlagos incident, described the clash as a simple "racing incident." Stroll confirmed that he had spoken with the rookie after the race, suggesting there is no lingering ill will between the two.
