Red Bull have appointed Alan Permane as their new sporting director, the team announced on Tuesday. Permane, who previously held a senior role at Alpine, will join the Milton Keynes-based outfit with immediate effect.
The 56-year-old brings extensive experience to the role, having spent over three decades in Formula One. He most recently served as Alpine's sporting director before leaving the team at the end of the 2023 season.
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said: 'We are delighted to welcome Alan to the team. His wealth of knowledge and expertise will be a valuable asset as we continue to push for success.'
Permane will work closely with the race engineering team and oversee operational aspects of Red Bull's race weekend activities. The appointment fills the vacancy left by Jonathan Wheatley, who departed the team earlier this year.
