Premier League 2026/27 Fixtures Announced
The Premier League has officially released the fixture list for the 2026/27 season, with defending champions Arsenal set to kick off the campaign on Friday night under the lights at the Emirates Stadium. Mikel Arteta's side, who ended a two-decade title drought last season, will welcome newly promoted Coventry City, who return to the top flight after over 20 years away.
Key Opening Matches
Arsenal's title defence begins on 21 August 2026 against Coventry City at 20:00. Other notable opening weekend fixtures include Manchester United travelling to Hull City on 22 August at 12:30, Liverpool visiting Newcastle United on 23 August at 16:30, and Chelsea facing Fulham on 24 August at 20:00.
Liverpool's New Era
Liverpool, looking to bounce back from a disappointing season, have appointed Andoni Iraola as manager. Their campaign starts away at Newcastle, followed by matches against Nottingham Forest, Ipswich, Fulham and Bournemouth. Manchester United Under Carrick
Michael Carrick has been appointed permanent manager at Manchester United after impressing following Ruben Amorim's sacking. United face a tricky lunchtime kick-off at Hull City, then host Ipswich and Everton. The first Manchester derby takes place on 12 September 2026 at Old Trafford.
Manchester City Without Guardiola
