The McLaren driver, the defending world champion, took his team's record 14th win at the circuit, finishing 15 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen.
Oscar Piastri's hopes were dashed when a gearbox problem forced him to retire. Earlier, the Australian had been leading but was blocked and struck by Carlos Sainz while attempting to lap the Williams driver, leaving him fuming. Sainz received a five-second penalty for the incident.
Kimi Antonelli extended his championship lead despite starting seventh after a grid penalty. The Italian fought back to third place, while his Mercedes teammate George Russell suffered anti-stall system activation at the start, dropping him to 20th. Russell recovered to seventh but lost further ground to Antonelli, who now leads Lewis Hamilton by 50 points and Russell by 59.
Lewis Hamilton endured a frustrating afternoon for Ferrari. A late third pit stop under a virtual safety car cost him track position, and a five-second penalty for pitlane speeding dropped him from fourth to fifth behind Charles Leclerc.
Norris's victory, coupled with McLaren's effective upgrades, reignites championship hopes. Antonelli's resilience remains formidable, but Norris believes the fight is far from over.
