A Brazilian motorbike influencer has died in a road crash, with her father reportedly taking his own life at the scene. Karla Thaynnara, 25, was a mother of one with over 56,000 Instagram followers.

According to reports, she lost control of her motorcycle on Tuesday morning (3 March) in Brasília, colliding with a car before being thrown onto the road and run over by a lorry.

Her father, José Carlos Andrade Nogueira, a police officer dispatched to the scene, allegedly took his own life after seeing his daughter lying on the tarmac, before colleagues could intervene.

Karla worked as a nurse and consignment dealer at a motorcycle dealership. She frequently posted about her life, including her seven-year-old daughter. Last August, she celebrated buying a flat, writing: 'It's proof that dreams really do come true when you refuse to give up on them.'

The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation. Karla and her father are due to be laid to rest in Brasília today (4 March).
