Jarrell Miller's hairpiece knocked off during MSG bout

Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller was involved in a bizarre incident at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night when his hairpiece was dislodged during a heavyweight victory over Kingsley Ibeh.

The unusual moment occurred late in the second round as Ibeh landed a flurry of punches. One shot snapped Miller's head back, causing the hairpiece to lift from the front and exposing his bald patch before the wig folded backwards. The crowd reacted with gasps and laughter.

Miller finished the round with the hairpiece still partially attached. Between rounds, he removed it completely and tossed it into the crowd before returning to the fight. He went on to win a narrow split decision, and after the victory was announced, he rubbed the top of his head while celebrating.

Speaking afterwards, Miller joked that he had lost much of his hair days earlier after mistakenly using 'ammonia bleach' from his mother's house instead of shampoo. 'I'm a comedian,' he said. 'You have to make fun of yourself.'

The 37-year-old has been a controversial figure, having been removed from a 2019 bout against Anthony Joshua at the same venue after failing pre-fight drug tests. He later returned to the sport after serving anti-doping suspensions.
