Ibiza Final Boss and Jordan McCann have agreed to a massive purse for a boxing rematch, with each fighter demanding £250,000. The pair first met in the ring on the undercard of Tommy Fury's victory over former World's Strongest Man Eddie Hall last weekend. Ibiza Final Boss, whose real name is Jack Kay, won the bout on points after four rounds. McCann had stepped in at short notice to replace comedian Dapper Laughs and was visibly underprepared.
Social Media Exchanges Spark Rematch Talks
The two fighters have since exchanged messages on social media, discussing a potential sequel in Newcastle. This comes after McCann's scheduled fight against 'Britain's Hardest Man' Big Stacks, with whom he had a heated exchange last week. Ibiza Final Boss stated, "250 bags each for the rematch." McCann replied, "One million per cent bro let me deal with Stacks and I'm going for the rematch. I want it in Newcastle I already told Mams Taylor I'm not fighting you anywhere else! Up the Toon."
McCann Reflects on Debut Defeat
Following his boxing debut, McCann issued a lengthy message reflecting on his loss. He thanked Boxing IQ, his coach Jesse Sanchez, and acknowledged his opponent's victory. "Congratulations to my opponent Jack Kay... [you] got the well deserved win. He was the better man on the night; also big up his coach Andy Connor; [you're a] good man. I made it as hard for them as I could all fight week and they still prevailed so respect to them both. All's fair in love and war [and] we left it in the ring. I know my performance was terrible [and] I know I'm out of shape but I did my best and I hope if anything I entertained."
McCann also expressed gratitude to Mams Taylor, Misfits Boxing, DAZN, and everyone involved in the event, as well as Tyson Fury for the walkout, calling him his idol since childhood.
