Aberdeen Agree Deal for Morocco Striker Ayoub Mouloua

Aberdeen are on the verge of securing a deal for Moroccan international striker Ayoub Mouloua. The Scottish Premiership club has agreed a six-figure transfer fee with FUS Rabat for the forward, according to reports.

Deal Close to Completion

The Dons have reached an agreement with the Moroccan club, but the transfer is not yet finalised. Aberdeen must secure a work permit and a Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) for Mouloua before the deal can be completed. The club is confident that these requirements will be met.

Scouting and Background

Aberdeen's sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel and head of recruitment Darren Mowbray have been instrumental in bringing Mouloua to the club's attention. They have conducted extensive scouting, with the striker watched on multiple occasions. Mouloua already has two caps for Morocco, although he was not included in their squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Aberdeen have a history of signing players from FUS Rabat, having brought the late Hicham Zerouali to Pittodrie in 1999. Zerouali remains a popular figure among Aberdeen fans.

Playing Record

Mouloua has scored six goals in 21 appearances for FUS Rabat this season. The previous campaign was more prolific, with 12 goals in 28 matches. The 24-year-old is highly regarded and is seen as a future regular for the Moroccan national team.
