Uncapped Scarlets wing Macs Page has been compared to Wales legend Shane Williams as calls for a Test call-up grow.
Page once again shone as the Scarlets secured their first win of the season on Saturday night, edging past Benetton in Llanelli. The 21-year-old set up Ellis Mee's first try with a brilliant break, before playing a big part in Mee's second score.
Having been part of Wales' touring squad in Japan last year, Page hasn't been in another international squad - although that could quickly change next week.
Scarlets director praises Page
"He's phenomenal," said Scarlets director of rugby Nigel Davies. "He has a low centre of gravity, he's very quick and he's got a great rugby brain."
"He's not dissimilar to someone like Shane Williams. He's all X-factor. Like I said earlier in the week, he's one of the first names on the team-sheet."
Page himself says he's enjoying his rugby at the minute, having scored two tries against the Dragons last weekend.
"It's awesome," he said. "Nigel and Peely (Dwayne Peel) give me a licence to go do what I like to do. Attacking is what I like to do."
"When I'm out there, I just think why not, I'll just go? I'll give it a shot."
Hogg on the lookout
Ex-Scotland full-back Stuart Hogg is reportedly on the lookout for a new club, with his deal at Top 14 Montpellier running out this season.
The 34-year-old, who joined Montpellier after coming out of retirement three years ago, has seen his stock fall in recent years due to much-publicised court cases.
That could make life difficult when it comes to finding a new club, should he decide to continue playing. RugbyPass report that Hogg could be looking for a new club soon, with another deal in France seemingly likely - given UK clubs are unlikely to touch the 100-cap full-back.
Itoje's new lease of life
Saracens head coach Joe Shaw says England captain Maro Itoje has been given a "new lease of life" after enjoying a summer break.
Itoje was named man of the match in a bonus-point Gallagher Prem rout of Bristol, as he reaps the benefit of being stood down from England's July tour. The 31-year-old impressed, having started in the back-row rather than at lock.
"Maro was unbelievable," said Shaw. "England and the club have given him a new lease of life by giving him the summer off. It's the first one he's had since he was 19."
"He had a full pre-season with us. He's been able to stay with his family and properly recover from what was a long season during which some things happened in his personal life."
"He's as fresh as a daisy. He's training so well. His body's in good nick. It'll benefit not just us, but it'll benefit England in the long run going into next year's World Cup."
