Zara Tindall is set to make an unexpected royal appearance next month, attending the opening ceremony of the FEI World Championships in Aachen, Germany, on August 11. The King's niece, daughter of the Princess Royal, will bring regal presence to the premier global equestrian event.
Royal Guests and Ceremony Details
Alongside Zara, Her Royal Highness the Princess of Orange from the Netherlands, and Her Royal Highness Elena de Borbón, Infanta of Spain, are also expected to attend. Three royal stables—from the Netherlands, Denmark, and Great Britain—will showcase their royal carriages during the ceremony, which will feature over 250 horses, dance, and musical performances.

Zara's Personal Connection
The return to Aachen holds special significance for Zara, who won an individual gold medal at the World Equestrian Games at the same venue in 2006. The FEI World Championships will run until August 23. It is not known whether Zara's husband, Mike Tindall, will accompany her to the opening ceremony or if she will attend other days of the event.
