Vanessa Trump and Tiger Woods Share Romantic Moment Before TGL Defeat
Vanessa Trump and Tiger Woods were photographed sharing a romantic kiss on Tuesday night, just before the golf legend faced a disappointing return to competitive action. The intimate moment occurred in front of a crowd at The Golf League event in Palm Beach, Florida, where Woods was playing for the first time since 2024.
Woods' Tough Night on the Course
Unfortunately for Woods, the evening proved challenging as his team, Jupiter Links GC, suffered a heavy defeat in the TGL finals. They lost 9-2 to Los Angeles Golf Club at the SoFi Center in Florida, with Woods, Tom Kim, and Max Homa falling to Justin Rose, Sahith Theegala, and Tommy Fleetwood. Woods expressed frustration after the match, stating, "We got our a** kicked at the end," and acknowledging missed opportunities like a short putt.
Despite the loss, Woods highlighted the positive aspects of his return, saying, "It felt great to be back here with these guys... it was a great team, I'm frustrated that we didn't get it done." He added, "It feels good to be back but I'd have liked it to be in better circumstances. But that's the way sports is - you put yourself out there, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. And you deal with it."
Injury Struggles and Masters Hopes
Woods has not competed in a PGA Tour event since the 2024 Open Championship, facing multiple setbacks including back surgery in early 2025 and a torn Achilles later that year. After disk replacement surgery in October, Tuesday's TGL match marked a significant step in his recovery. Woods teased a potential return at next month's Masters at Augusta National, though he remained non-committal.
When asked about the Masters, Woods said, "I've been trying. It's just this body doesn't recover like when I was 24, 25. It doesn't mean I'm not trying - I've been trying for a while." He explained, "I've had a couple of back injuries the past year that I've had to fight through and it's taken some time. But I keep trying. I want to play, I've loved the tournament, I've loved being there since I was 19 years old. So it's meant a lot to me and my family over the years and I'm going to be there either way."
Support from the Stands
Vanessa Trump, the former daughter-in-law of Donald Trump, was in the crowd alongside Donald Trump's teenage granddaughter, Kai. Also present was Serena Williams, who co-owns a TGL team with her family. Trump has been a visible supporter of Woods in recent months, attending events like his 50th birthday party in January and the Genesis Invitational in Los Angeles.
Relationship Dynamics Under Scrutiny
Off the course, reports have surfaced about tensions in Woods' relationship with Trump. Sources claim Trump feels insecure, leading her to monitor Woods closely, while Woods reportedly feels stifled. A source told the National Enquirer, "She's insecure when it comes to him and other women... Tiger's feeling henpecked and stifled. He wants Vanessa to trust him and not judge him on prior behavior."
Woods, who split from ex-wife Elin Nordegren in 2010 amid cheating allegations, has been seen with Trump at various high-profile appearances, fueling public interest in their romance. As Woods continues his recovery and potential Masters comeback, his personal life remains a topic of discussion among fans and media alike.
